Parts & Patterns

How to start understanding and loving yourself.

I help people who are tired of talking in circles in traditional talk therapy go from feeling stuck to being able to live out their values without self-judgment using internal family systems-informed therapy.

Is This You?

You know something needs to shift, but you’re not sure what.

Feeling stuck

You feel tired of blaming yourself for being stuck in a rut. Other therapy has left you more self-aware but still unable to shift your inner world to notice a difference in your life.

Going in circles

You’re ready to shift from explaining your experiences to actually exploring what you feel. Understanding alone hasn’t been enough.

Wanting to reconnect

Parts of yourself have been pushed aside or learned to survive on their own. You’re ready to meet them with curiosity instead of judgment.

About Laura

Healing isn’t something we force. It’s something we make room for.

Hello! I’m Laura Danese. I’m a clinical social worker currently working toward licensure while practicing under supervision at Winchester Community Mental Health Center.

My work is shaped by systems thinking and with Internal Family Systems, I’m especially interested in the worlds inside each of us. I often work with people who are ready to shift from explaining their experiences to exploring what they feel through experiential therapy.

Outside of my clinical work, I love board games, Spotify, and walking through the forest pretending I’m on a magical quest. These things rejuvenate me, and I love helping people find what rejuvenates them.

The Approach

What to Expect

I believe meaningful change comes from learning to meet yourself with curiosity and compassion. My goal is to help you reconnect with parts of yourself that may have been pushed aside or learned to survive on their own.

01

Parts-based work

Internal Family Systems (IFS) sees you as made up of many parts — each one with its own feelings, memories, and roles. None of them are bad. We get to know them together.

02

Curiosity over judgment

Instead of analyzing or fixing, we practice turning toward what’s happening inside with openness. This isn’t about getting it right — it’s about getting honest.

03

Depth, not performance

We take time to slow down and explore your feelings on their own terms. Being fully seen is a truly transformative experience.
